Just back from EPT and HOU CP says 3 classes per month for the remainder of the year. IP in the class also says thats what they are planning for. "Official" numbers have not changed (about 400) but 60 a month will exceed that figure. We'll see but it does sound positive.

Great news! The more the merrier here at SWA. Good luck to everyone waiting in the pool or waiting for an interview!

Last week, according to Lindsey at SWA... Approximately 400-450 pilots this year, 500 per year for the forseeable future. 419 aircraft, 29 this year, 34 next year. 11 pilots per airplane. Seniority list approaching 5,000 pilots.

It looks like the number will be 510 pilots this year due to the SWAPA and SWA agreement to add more pilots for staffing levels.

>510 if we can find more jets.

As Bob Barker said, "Come on down!!!"

Awesome news! Thanks for the heads up. How many will be hired this year as of the end of the april classes? Does anyone have an accurate number of people in the pool. I interviewed the 23 of feb.

Thanks

I think the total is 138 by the end of March (with only one class in March?) and then assuming 20 per class in April that would bring you to 198 for the year? Should be close at least...

April 20th class

Just got the call this morning!! I was invited to the April 20th class.
I interviewed November 15th. I also know of atleast one friend from the November 16th interviews that will be in the same class!

This is great news for everyone in the pool!!!

I luv a good April's fools joke as much as the next guy, thankfully this is NOT one!

Yellow Lab - I was told 41 hired for the January decision board, for those that interviewed in Nov & Dec. I interviewed on 17 Nov and was also called this morning for the 20 Apr class.

Fishing Fool: That is a sweet picture. Kodiak I think? You must be a CG C-130 pilot. Congrats on the call for SW.
