Be assured that the senior captains (as I referred to earlier as "Senior Daddies"), many of whom DID build the company and are now already topped-out, will be expecting a COLA as a minimum next time around. When you fly with them, I'm sure they'll be "thrilled" to hear what you feel THEY do or don't deserve regarding future compensation..."silence" may then be a blessing to you

Enough of my dealing with this issue. You wonder why the mid-level F/A's got the highest raise? they were the farthest behind their peers at other airlines genius. Even with this contract, years 6-11 will trail many F/A's at other carriers. the curve was unbelievable, and many SW F/A's will tell you that the senior F/A's always took care of themselves at the expense of the junior ones. The curve is still there. If that negotiating committee was a mid-level group, they may have just given those F/A's a 1% raise.

As far as my flying with senior Captains, You are not a SW pilot so do not pretend to know what goes on in a SW cockpit. Our pay scale it not as out of whack as the F/A's was (and still is). If the upgrades start to hit 6+ years, then you will see some pay go to the F/O's, and that will happen! I've checked my facts, I work for the airline we're discussing, how about you?

Good-bye

In my experience, they are anything but silent when it comes to discussing getting theirs and more, especially if you try to explain to them the inequities of the stock option plan (which was given in lieu of pay). They, in a very disporportionate way, benefitted by the option distribution, even with the stock in the tank...... the extension addressed this to a small extent, but there is still a huge rift between the haves and the have nots (A to T+ scale) re: stock option distribution and strike price.

They are quite vocal when it comes time for YOU to make a concession so that THEIR stock goes up........
