Got the Dreaded Letter...

Well, got my "no thanks' letter today.
For those of you curious, TT 4800, PIC 1700, CRJ. 4-year Engineering Degree w/ 8 years Engineering before switching to the flying side of the house. Currently at Pinnacle.
I will be trying again in 1 year. Hope to see better times then.
...until then, may the sun always shine and the tax man never commeth..

Does anyone know if calls will continue to go out throughout the week? If you're not called today (Monday) should you not expect one?

FG

I also was denied...though I had to call to find out due to overseas location. What a bummer...one year...long time.

Sorry to hear about the rejection letters guys. I didn't receive a call today, but I also didn't receive a letter. Not quite sure where that leaves me....

Good luck to all,
Scott

Attention all pilots who have been turned down... You're welcome to reapply after March of 2006 one month after I am eligible to reapply! :)
Unfortunately for me the mailman did the unthinkable and delivered me a letter from Southwest. I sent it back unopened!
Do you think they'll call me with a class date?

Good Luck to all!

I've heard through the grapevine that the hire % was pretty low. Anybody else heard this?

Just remember, for every window that closes, a door opens.

The day I got my rejection letter from SWA, FedEx called for an interview.

Keep Pressing.

Well guys, I did get the call today. I interviewed 2/21 and I know at least one other guy who got the call as well (F-16 driver). I'm still waiting on word from the others in my class. I went to HPA for the type and hired Judy Tarver for interview prep.

Let me thank everyone over here that has put on gouge etc. It really helped. If it helps anyone, let it be known that I came into the interview extremely relaxed and jovial, playing foozball and ping pong in the training building and shooting the sh%t with the interviewers during lunch. I pretended I was just hanging out with my buddies (sans curse words and politically incorrect statements). I also made it VERY clear at the end of each interview that I wanted to work for SWA by stating , "Just in case I wasn't 100% clear during the last 45 minutes, I REALLY, REALLY want to work for SWA!!!!" Sometimes you need to state the obvious.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions,

beytzim
