SWA Contract

"The new proposal has been circulated to the pilots and the union board has set a special meeting for June 10 and June 11 to complete a review and schedule a member vote, Stamps said. "

Anyone know when the vote will be on the new contract?

Contract Vote

The voting begins on 7 July & runs for 45 days, mid Aug. The union Board was split on for/against the extension. An interesting note is the fact that the outside experts who advised the negotiating committee during the talks (there were reps with vast amounts of airline labor negotiations to include ALPA, DALPA, etc) all thought the offer from the company was one they all thought should be supported by SWAPA members. The tone among many I've spoken with is the extension will pass, I suspect somewhere in the range of 65-75% in support of it.

The real details are being brought out this week & next, I will post what I can on here. I will be out of pocket for several weeks beginning later this week but will do what I can. cheers,
