I can tell you this much. Zero, zilch, nada...not a single reference of mine was called. 8/8 interview, and hired yesterday.

Patience is a virtue. 8/15 may meet the 9/14 board. I assume SWA does not waste money checking out folks they won't consider... You never know...

I heard that they were going to be checking everyone out even prior to the board as they are just swamped with people. It used to be if they started calling your refs you were in, now you will not know until you get the call or the letter.

Turbo: I belive that from our 8/8 interview class, they called references on 6 of us out of 24. As far as I know, only 2 from this group got the call, and one (RDG) that didn't have any references called. Kind of quiet from the rest of the people in our group, but I'm hoping for the best and that the calls continue for them.

When we were putting the e-mail list together for our interview group on the 8th, somehow I never got around to getting mine on there. Sorry. I think I was talking to a guy interviewing for a planning position when everyone else was doing that. :0

Ok then, that makes 4 from our group out of 24. Hopefully the calls continue this week for the rest.

There were 23 that nterviewed on 24 Aug. From what I can tell (from e-mails), about 5 had references/contacts called.

24 interviews?! Wow...we only had 12 when I interviewed back in Feb.

They interviewed a total of approximately 280 in August....pretty impressive!
