Could someone shed some light, thoughts, or rumors on what the "competitive" criteria for SWA's interviewing is going to be?

It was my understanding that in the past it was first come first serve, based on who had a type. It sounds like this will be different when the interviews begin again, but I have not heard anything more.

Chase, or anyone else?

Thanks

I have it from a very reliable source at SWA:
Competitiveness encompasses:
1. Type Rating
2. Being Current
3. Advancing/Upgrading (Possibly easier for military who are getting new quals)

Makin a run

He/She who has the most Wild Turkey, WINS!!!!

What I learned at HPA

I asked this exact question to Heather Tomalchoff (hope the spelling is right!) from SWA when she came for orientation and this is what she said:

1)SWA looks at all the qualifications in their totality: Experience #hours, equipment, progression, type of flying

2)Education (What type of degree and from where)

3)Recency of flight exprience

4)Miscellaneous (someone in the company knows you, you already work for SWA, LOA, etc..)

In all, it seemed somewhat subjective but she gave me the impression that whatever system they use is fair for SWA. She gave me an example: "We may call a 12,000 hour 737 captain and also a 2500 hr pilot with an engineering degree and solid flight experience; side by side"
