The SWA dispatchers just ratified a new contract. Starting pay is approximately 5k per month. Typically, a Chief Dispatcher would receive an hourly override of $1 or more on top of the base pay.

Just in case anyone was wondering about this position, the company reevaluated how they wanted to use this position. So, they are in the process of hiring 7 additional chiefs (will have 10 total). They determined they wanted to make it attractive for internals, so the money and schedule was greatly improved. They are currently interviewing 24 internals for the 7 positions. I doubt it will need to go external at this point.
