The flux capacitor requires 1.21 jigawatts of power. That is why this incident occurred.

The only thing capable of generating that kind of power is a bolt of lightning. The plane must have been struck by lightning which ignited the flux capacitor. Seems odd when you consider you have to be taxing at 88 mph....oh it was SWA, nevermind. :)
