It is rumored that SWA or another airline (possibly even a regional) may put together their own bids in BK court to scuttle the deal. Much like SWA did to Air Tran.

Anyone else hear anything about this?

There is some news floating around that someone wants to put a bid in for AWA. The investment banker would roll them into a legacy and just let U die on the vine. The bid would have to be large enough to satisfy controlling shareholder TPG. Could it be done? Money talks. We'll see.:)

How about Boeing putting in a bid with some carrier to derail the Airbus A350 deal??

The bid would have to very large. At least it would keep things interesting on the street. UARIQ up approx 60% on the news of merger. AWA up above $5/share in Extended Hours which I had previously heard was halted for the two...Airlines in play tomorrow. Its going to be a fun day.

Alaska maybe?

I hear Alaskas' former CEO John Kelly was in PHX this week.

Now that's funny!
