SWA calles references, is this good?

Just wondering if having calles made to references/recomendations means anything.

To those who have interviewed and then not gotten the call to continue the process, did you have your refrences called after your interview. Sorry that you didn't make it, but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your insight.

Congrats on getting your references called! From what I've read here that is a good sign. I've also read on another post somewhere in here recently that one guy and his buddy had references checked....one made it past the DB and the other got a rejection letter. Reference calls are better than no calls, however, I think SWA will look at your background information (PRIA, FAA records etc..), but most importantly, they will also look to see if any other SWA employees/pilots had any gripes to report about you. I hear they weigh this heavily...so, hopefully, you didn't burn any bridges. I think then the DB will take all these factors into consideration as to whether one "continues the process" or not. I interviewed on the 21st of April. Out or our group of 11, 8 had their references checked and of those 8, 4 (maybe 5, I never got a response to an email from one guy) made it through the decision board. Good luck. I am pretty sure it does mean you made it through the interview with a pass.
