I think this might work. (OH, and don't call the moderators nasty names anymore, OK? I don't think it helps our cause any. :) )

Please,..........why are you embarrased to fly cargo?
What's wrong with the cargo board, are you too good for it?
I don't care either way.
It just seems silly. If I were looking for FedEx or UPS info I'd go to the cargo board. Who knows, the way things are going I might be looking for info in a few years. :(

Its a cultural thing some of the freight boys have...

I suspect its a little sour grapes from some guys... A little ingrained pent up envy from major pax carrier's glory days past...

I would suspect the cargo guys have some pretty big smiles on their faces now... this whole thing from usnfdx sounds like some old navy boy with a big chip on his shoulder...

give me a break....

I've been there... done it..
I personally enjoyed the camraderie I had at the MAJOR CARGO carrier I flew for for 4 years...

Hey USNFDX....

You got NOTHING to be ashamed of....!!!

And you're a short timer .... 4000 hours and a 727 plumber...

A "major" is considered to be an airline (FedEx) with revenues with of a Billion or more. Last time I checked, I think FedEx just barely made it in! ;)

Been a while since you checked, has it? ;)

Federal Express "barely" made it over the billion dollar annual revenue mark in 1983, just under 10 years after it began operation. By the way, it was the first U.S. company to reach revenues of $ 1 billion without merger or acquisition. :)

Did I mention 27 majors' worth of revenue last year? :)

I guess my sarcasm didn't come across like I wanted it to. Dam, I should of used the sarcastic simley face! ->

I got your ;), that's why I ;)ed. Then I took advantage of an opportunity to toot our horn a little bit more.

(Truth be known, I learned something in the process. I was pretty sure that Fred pulled in the first billion in the tenth year, but I wanted to make sure before I opened my jaw. While researching the fact, I ran across that other tidbit about FedEx being the first U.S. company to pull down a billion in revenues without an acquisition or merger. I also read that Fred was a fighter pilot and led 250 missions in Viet Nam - - so I have to doubt some of the other stuff I read, too. Hmmmmmm... maybe we DIDN'T pull in 27 billion, after all.)

:)

I am extremly Happy with my Job. I chose it over a "Major" pax carrier.....There are no sour grapes, No Chip!

Look this an "Interview board for the Majors". Alot of things discussed on this board have nothing to do with getting a job at a Major airline. Bush vs. Kerry, How come Jet Blue doesn't pay for it's airplanes, Why is lowercur an @$$, where's the general, etc etc etc....

I think when Fedex posts a large bid, and they say they are going to 278 right now and average 400 newhires over the next 5 years, people on a "Majors Aviation Interview Board" might want to know.
