Who knows....depending on how many are being brought into class when you are in your training....some guys have seen MDW/BWI on their first shot out of the schoolhouse.

I fully expect LAS to become the jr base....

If you're talking NOW (not in 2 -3 - 8 months etc)

BWI, MDW, MCO, PHX, HOU, DAL since you're excluding OAK. Like Tejas said, a lot of us are thinking LAS will go junior, but we won't know for a few months.

You'll get a "freebie" line your first full month online after training. Most guys recently have been able to hold any base except HOU or DAL after their freebie.

So I guess you went canyon blue instead of purple?

Best of luck to you, it will be fun "over there".

Finished IOE on 10/10 did the balance of October out of MCO. Got the freebie month in OAK for November and I am in MCO (my first choice) in December. Life is good.

For some new hires Las Vegas could be a great base for the PM flyers. Finish up at 10ish, then stroll to the B gates for a late night run to the east coast on US Air. It would beat going to the hotels in OAK. Which (I think) is why OAK will still stay a the junior base.

From what I see, SWA bases for FO's go like this in least senior to most:

OAK,MCO,PHX,BWI,MDW,HOU,DAL.

Completely different for Captains and FA's. Been on line for 1 1/2 months....able to hold OAK,MCO, or PHX(we're i'll be in dec). Already two numbers away from holding MDW in Jan. (where i want to be). Not all that bad. As always, this can change at the drop of a hat. It's all about need.

Did my dream month in HOU (I wanted DAL) but HOU is better than most. My free month in OAK, my next month in PHX, and now I'm in HOU hopefully for one more month or so.

OAK-PHX-HOU-DAL?

15 plus days off on reserve and pick up extra fly or daily open time for crazy money and still maintain 12 days off or better making way more than I did as a regional Capt. I have had weekends off and not so there is a mix of days on with a mix of three days and four days. If you are a line holder you can make your schedule fit just about whatever you need. I would tell you more but I've said too much, any more and I would have to kill you.
