SWA ATL base

I post this since line pilots always think they know all the answers. I have heard that the ATL base is doing better then they thought and then I would hear the complete opposite. Is there any word on SWA growing the ATL base? I heard there is talk of them giving up concourse D and that there is no growth in the near future.
Any words of wisdom or thoughts that are meaningful would be great.

I think SWA management has consistently said the number of flights will shrink over time as it is changed from a hub and spoke model to a more point to point model that is the basis for the Southwest route structure.

By Apr-2014 Southwest and AirTran will deploy 160 daily flights from the largest US airport in terms of passenger enplanements. At that time Atlanta will be roughly the same size in terms of departures as Houston Hobby or Phoenix? two of Southwest?s top markets. But it will pale in comparison to Chicago Midway, which currently has roughly 253 daily departures."

Houston currently is home to about 635 pilots and Phoenix around 800.

I have been told that Southwest will be giving up all the gates on D concourse?

Last official word I heard was when the base opened and they said it would remain about the same size (200ish pilots) until beyond 2014. My take on this is that the growth on the WN side will somewhat coincide with the drawdown of the FL side
