It acutally shows determination and desire to work for them. I think they LUV being courted.

This is why I doubt the Guadaloupe pilots will ever be integrated. They don't really want to work at SWA, which is very important to the culture and ultimately the business mode of SWA.

The Guadaloupe pilots only want to go to Southwest if they get relative seniority rather than starting at the bottom just like every other Southwest pilot has.

I predict a preferential interview for the Guadaloupe pilots to prove that they really want to work there. I doubt that they will just bring on a bunch of guys with bad attitude like Ty Webb and Lear and Karma and all those guys.

I interviewed with SWA back in April of 2007 and I got the rejection letter. I have recently submitted my application with SWA for the present hiring window. Would SWA reconsider an applicant or it is a one time and that's it deal?

Thank you!

FWIW, I got hired the second time...They were big into what you did to improve yourself ie. Check Airman, Community Service, Etc.

Good Luck,
KBB

Lots of guys have gotten on the second and third interviews. Good luck, you definitely have a shot, many have gone before you in your situation.

Another SWA application question

I apologize for asking this again in another thread but as the deadline is running near, I am in a minor panic. Don't mind being rejected, just don't want to be rejected because I don't know something.

Uploaded resume, checked online, and the application says "closed", what does that mean? I haven't received the infamous third email either.

Any ideas or thoughts.

Thank you.

Have completely filled out everything as well, but haven't seen the 3rd email either. I emailed the SWAprofile address and am awaiting reply. Just want to make sure the application is there without errors, etc., and my uploads are viewable.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but did anyone receive a confirmation email after completing your profile on pilotcredentials.com? I have all green check marks, but haven't received an email that it was submitted. The previous email from SWA indicated that we would get a confirmation email after completion. Thanks.

Have filled out everything, have the "green" arrows, but no confirmation email on my end. Anyone else?

closed is good, means they looked at it. If you meet the mins, you will receive an email with a link to fill out the full profile soon. there are thousands that are applying so it takes time.

6000 applicants for 100 slots, 250-300 interviews will be done...heard in the lounge...

So your saying there is a chance?

My best guess, based on the job posting numbers, is that each posting consist of 50 applicants. Therefore, between 4,450-4,500 applicants at this time.

How those are filtered is anyone guess: as a whole vs. posting number?

Having been on hiring boards before, I'm not envious of the task at hand.

Good luck to all,
