OK. Here it goes. I was working at a carrier that is now out of business last year. During that time, after getting the 737 type, I interviewed at SWA and was turned down. Thats the way it goes. Anyway, I have four types and 2200 hours of turbine PIC in 121ops and some checkairman experience, which didn't do the trick. I did get a job at an airbus operator and am now sitting in the right seat of an airbus. I wont say which airline because I don't want this to turn into an airline A vs. airline B kind of discussion. My question is this, am I going to be less competetive because I don't have "recent" PIC time as I've heard Lindsay Lang say. Seems to me they should cut people some slack when their airline goes out of business. Who goes out and gets more jet PIC time when they lose their job. I just hope it doesn't affect round 2. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
