SWA and Higher Power are coming up to Southern NJ to host a casual reception on June 24th at 5 p.m. The reception is open to all advanced civilian and military pilots. I've heard that they are a blast (free food and drink)--and yes the People Department will be there! The only kicker is that you must RSVP to Meghan at 1-800-JETCREW. I'd recommend calling ASAP as the "shows" tend to sell out quick.

Do the military pilots not have to be advanced?

Of course not. And the advanced civilians do not even have to be pilots. SWA is interested in a broad variety of candidates.

Oh no! Not another "Us vs. Them". Nothing negative is implied--my assumption is that they generally don't want someone with 40 hours coming to the seminar. Military pilots generally have an 8-10 year commitment and most leave the service with enough time to meet the minimums at SWA. Everyone's experience is unique and we each bring something different to the table---hope that helps!
