. I will add that the QC2 is not quite as good if you are an FO. The mic can't be switched to the right side on that set up. As a result you will have the cords across your body all the time. If you have to pull an ear cup back (other guy a non intercom type) the mic will be away from your mouth and not work very well.

That actually would suck- any FOs care to weigh in? - I'll be buying something in the next few weeks
 
When I used the qc2 that never bothered me being an fo. I never uncovered an ear either. I could always hear the other person talk with no issues without a hot mike. I would just clip the mike line to my right epaulet. But that's just me.
 
So how to the UFM setup compare to a Telex 5x5 with the custom ear molds? Right now I'm using Telex 750 and in addition to being loud, they push on my glasses and hurt the ears.
