DOH will determine furlough status?
Whats wrong with that? Even Empire pilots had that and other C and R when they merged with Piedmont. Those are core Union principles. But greed and entitlement is what Westies want. The PFT mentality at Mesa Grande is what drives their values.

At least you are consistent. You see nothing wrong with a furloughee and a line holding captain exchanging places. This is somehow not a windfall for the furloghee in your twisted view.

The west captain who is not interested in trading places with the furloghed F.O suffers from greed and entitlement in your world view. Truly you are warped.

The West has not come close to the shrinkage the East has experienced. The only other pilot group that has been screwed worse is Midwest Exp. TWA another hose job

After the merger the east grew and the west shrank. The east has now shrunk, but not down to their pre merger size.

Yes, yes the east are perennially screwed by everybody through no fault of their own, they are professional victims.

The West shrunk? They had to. That is because the West expanded when about every other legacy airline furloughed pilots in early 2003. Just look how all the hiring at ATA worked out for their pilots.

Oh, I see. Any airline that has the temerity to grow, when USAir is shrinking, is just wrong and confused. AWA should have been shrinking - never-mind that they were profitable in the years leading up to their acquisition of USAirways.

Guess what. You would be furloughing like you did in 2001 and probably would have gone out of business. Straight from the mouth of your CEO.

Yes, another quote twisted horribly out of context. While USAirways faced certain liquidation, absent the merger, Parker stated that eventually AWA may well have had to face chapter 11, had they not been able to merge with anyone else or otherwise change shape.

This is a far cry from USAirways pre-merger condition. AWA was still profitable and would no doubt have moved on to a third or fourth merger target. USAirways would have been roadkill long before AWA faced a bankruptcy court judge, however.

So, what is your USAir connection? You probably still live at home and are exposed to a stream of consienceness of bitter victimhood from you east pilot father.

You are way off target.

Sully is doing good things for this profession.

ALPO should take note.

The Daily Show With Jon Stewert Oct 13.

Sully is well spoken and he gave a great interview.

Wow... got that ALPA jab in there....

Shold ALPA control geese and fly them into engines... only to have control over a USAPA pilot landing safely on water?

Did ALPA conspire to put pilots on food stamps, lessening thier dues intake?

Did ALPA aka The Man, put pilots on slave wages and house them in crashpads?

Does The Man, force pilots to fly fatigue threatening them with job action?

Dude. At least try to spell correctly.

Sully and Jeff are the only good thing to happen to this profession in over a decade. Kudos to John Stuart for bringing up pilot pay.

Sully and Skiles BOTH Perjured themselves on the stand in Federal Court in an effort to advance USAPAs Illegal, malevolent campaign to steal the careers of the West pilots. I have no respect for either.

If your going to slander someone, would you mind giving supporting evidence or examlpes to support your accusations.

It is unfortunate that we are so powerless that we have to wait around for the right guys to happen to have a successful crash landing and have the emotional and social skills to represent the profession....

After the Sullytonian era wears off, how long do you think we'll have to wait for two polished speakers to successfully crash a jet..... it seems the time between management can crush the profession all over again....

As for the 190s it was the foresight of the west pilots that brought these aircraft on property in the first place. The east pilots had long ago sold out their scope but the west had specifically carved out the 190 as a mainline aircraft.

I'm sure I'm stepping in some ******************** here, but I've been told the mainline jets (900s) flown by Mesa for 23 bucks an hour are under the America West contract, not the East contract.

No Problem. Skiles, very matter of factly, said that if the nicolau award was ever implemented he would NEVER be able to upgrade to captain. In CROSS examination, it was pointed out to Skiles that in fact, AT THAT MOMENT, Skiles could hold captain in LGA and PHL but he chose not to.

Skiles replied: "that's reserve, i don't want to sit reserve"

He failed to qualify his answer to the jury. Skiles said he's NEVER be able to upgrade...he lied. He was easily caught in that lie. By the way he stammered in cross examination he obviously knew he was caught.

Sully made up a story about the definition of integrity. By his own definition, he was saying he had none. Lies come in different forms but under oath, all lies are perjury. Both of them are liars. Read the transcripts. It's all there.
