BTW

What did you call me (a$$hole??) Gomer Pile?

Don't they teach you anything in G I Jane school these days?

Hey, don't take it so hard. It isn't my fault you ended up where you are.

Being mad at the world ain't gonna help you Gomer.

You'll get ulcers.

good looking aztruck smacks down hard on the runway, so hard that it struck both props. pilot walks into the mtc dept and asks if anybody here can dress down his props real quick, he is in a hurry on his way to xyz. guy was gonna fly a plane full of people and stuff after he had just STRUCK the props w/o out proper inspection and repair!

good looking P baron stalls on final and falls flat, 30' to the rwy. bends both spars, put a 30 degree bend in the right main trunion, bent the airframe severely, and curled up the right prop. nobody hurt. i don't understand how people do it, but this proves that inadvertent stalls do happen. a/c probably totalled.

rv-6? takes off with the stick secured under the passenger seat belt. a crash ensued. use your imagination on the maneuver that this thing made as it went airborne.

all of these happened within the last few weeks. not gonna bring up the fatal one.

Lets just say while your story may have some basis in truth it was deeply embelished to add to your cool factor... and nobody respects that.
Landing a Seven-Five with forty knots of wind on the tail doesn't need embelishment. It's stupid enough on its own.

(I take it from your deep offense that you fly 757/767's at American. I don't suppose that was you out there that day, was it?)

In a way, I'm flattered. I pissed off the unshakable Clownpilot! :D Go ahead, flame away. I don't mind. I warm myself with the knowledge that you'd never have made it in the Army.

I ran into this the other day in a slightly different form at JHW. It's uncontrolled, yet there is an ATIS freq and you are requested to "advise on initial contact..." in controlled-field style. Some AOPA-hat-wearer tool on the ground was playing ATC and was attempting to sequence traffic...."Yes, Jamestown is currently using runway 31, you'll be number 2 for the airport..." What the he11 ?!?!
