Turn on FOX news. Small plane has gone down in Indy. Has one of those parachute safety systems. Lands in the pond and these correspondents don't know what that chute is.

A local Indy TV helicopter pilot said he thought it looked like a homebuilt.

I couldn't yell "ITS A CIRRUS" at TV any louder without pissing off the neighbors...

You have to admit that aircraft parachutes are a relatively recent development for general aviation aircraft.

I bet there are quite a few "pilots" out there that don't know that much about it...

Just wait for the BIG NEWS STORY when one of the media networks catches on and does their news segment on "Airplanes with Parachutes"..

I'll imagine they'll go to the Cirrus factory for that...
It will be a good day for Ballistic Recovery Systems...

Buy their stock now!!

BRS

someone just called CNN and asked, "why couldn't they rename the runways in LEX to something like 52 and 94 to eliminate confusion for pilots..."

people are ignorant.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin
