Anyone have any experience with these bags yet? Looking at this instead of the PN bag but dont know of any friends of mine I can ask since no one I know has one yet.

i heard that they are pretty tough. A friend of mine has one, and I am considering buying one myself. He has some really good things to say about it.

I have one and it's awesome! It looks much smaller than it actually is. I can't believe how much I can cram into it. It rolls more smoothly than anything I've owned and everything on it is replaceable. The owner of the company is a FO for SWA and designed them with the 737 in mind. In other words, for those of you sick of trying to cram your PNT bag under the 737-300,400,500 jumpseat, this is the bag for you.

I hope this is what you were looking for!

Are these bags American made? If not, where's the factory?

Greetings...I bought one as well. The bag is made in China, and the ballistic covering is made by Dupont in the US. All of the parts including the covering are replaceable. I am happy with the bag so far. I think it was 197.00 or so with their grand opening discount.

Take care

Is there any warranty on them? A lot of people I know are now buying the bags at Costco, since you can return them anytime. Pretty much like a lifetime bag I guess.

I'm still sold on my old Stealth.

I am sure there is a warranty. I had a problem with one of the straps and they overnighted one to me the next day, and even offered to replace the bag if necessary. Stellar customer service.

Take care.

Stellar customer service.

I agree wholeheartedly, I will buy another one of these when this one wears out just because of their customer service. It is surprising how much more it holds than a TravelPro even though they look almost identical in size side-by-side.

I also bought one and think its a nice bag, and definitely for the price. I like the simplicity of the bag, sturdy construction and the fact that all the parts are easily replaceable.

And, of course, its made in China. Everything is made in China; we don't make anything here anymore, except money, politics, and B.S. (maybe not totally true, but Close).

Not everything, If I understand correctly, Purdy is still American made.

Correct. The roller bags are made in USA... the duffles and accessory bags are made in China....

at least the tag on my executive duffel says made in china...

PNT has their fabric made in China, on all their bags, including their rollerbags, then the fabric is shipped to their warehouse in Aurora, and assembled there. The duffels, coolers, etc. are made in china as well.

I'm hearing good things about StrongBags! Finally a company that is giving PNT some friendly competition!

I think the side pockets make the bag not fit on a 737... if strongbags can do well I am sure they will create a side pocket bag.... baby stps with these small business... baby step...

(pssst...get rid of that telescoping handle!!!!)

Side Pockets, or no side pockets

I think that he made the rollerbag to fit the 737 cockpit j/s, since he is a SWA guy...it makes sense. Quite a few of the side pockets that I've seen have rips in the side of them. Who uses these side pockets anyway? I have a PNT bag, and had to have the side pockets taken off since they got ripped to shreads from that pesky little bolt in the 737 j/s. Bags look nicer without any tears in them!

Just my opinion, but I think he is on to something...

I have a Purdy bag with the side pockets and I saw a suggestion to put the bag in handle first on the 300/500 and it works great! It also works on the 700/800/900.

My lower side pocket has gotten torn from that stupid bolt! I would like to find the Boeing engineer and slap him for putting sharp objects in the bag storage area!

Doesn't this belong in the Luggage Forum?

To Rez and all suspicious of the telescoping handle,

I can tell you from experience that not all of these handles are created equally. I have had the chance to take a look at the handle used by StrongBags and it certainly looks to be more robust than the TravelPro handle and light years ahead of the lousy handle on the Wingman bag. FWIW.

Adios

Thanks for the note.....

I"ll keep an eye out for a SB..... and look at the handle.... I'm just not ready to part with cash till I test drive it.....

Rezfully yours....
