Street Captains?

Who is hiring street captains... I am starting my 5th year at ASA as an FO with no light at the end of the tunnel.. I am considering whoring myself out to the lowest bidder so I can get out of this sh!t hole know as the REGIONAL AIRLINE BUSINESS.. or lack there of.

Colgan was as of a month ago as well as Mesa...but I think they have slowed down. Big Sky was advertising it as well.

I kept hearing rumors of Skywest street hiring soon for CA's on the Brazilia but I haven't seen anything...any update on this?

I tried the militant ASA ALPA attutude and attended all the picketing sessions, volunteered for the P2P program.. Voted yes to strike, etc. etc. All that that got me was some sore feet, an ASPEN mail box that has the same BS in it every week and now another 10 years as a freaking FO at this HORRIBLE COMPANY!

I preached for years about not whoring out my services and skills as a professional aviator. Now look at me... 5th year ATR FO, bypassed for the crj for 3 years, looking at another 10 years for an upgrade while all the other pilots undercut everything to get the upgrade and eventually the paycheck. Now they are captains at the whore airlines, about to get on with FEDEX, AIRTRAN, SW, CONT. ect. and I am still driving my F^%$ turbo prop to columbus GA and dOthan AL 6 times a day!

I hear ya....I decided against CHQ to come to XJT now I'm only a few months junior to holding CA and all hell is about to break lose. Oh well. Lesson learned, just do what you have to do I guess.

Several SKW guys had mentioned on this board a month or so ago that they were having trouble filling E120 CA classes.

They are having trouble but that doesnt mean they will be hiring street captains. SkyWest has never hired street captains in the past when they were short. Why would they start now? I work at Skywest and have heard no mention of that. Correct me if im wrong. Management likes to keep the company understaffed, so i doubt they would ever hire street captains. Management would rather have us all flying 120 hours of block a month.

just like I have always said...you're a complete dumbass! Should have stayed in that jungle jet and you'd be a lot closer to upgrade by now, even at eagle. Now look at you...worse than a "whore"...you're a "wanna'be whore" thats not qualified to hire on as a street capt. so, STFU and yank gear beatch!

No, they give all of their FO's a shot at it first...there are plenty with previous airline experience. Junior EMB CA is about 1 year seniority.
