Where did you get this???? Some type of reg I don't know about.

pipejocky its the future suck it up if you dont like it dont come back to this industry regionals will and should grow!!!

There is other requirements that can have this reduced. It basicaly says you just need the ATP and some current flying. This is allowed with a structured IOE program. I was wandering because in the DHC8 class I was in, they wanted to turn CFI's with ATP mins into street captains. They must have had a way of doing this. Not trying to be argumentitive at all, just trying to figure how they were planning on pulling this off.

......issued an additional rating or an airline transport pilot certificate with an additional rating, as applicable, with a limitation. The limitation shall state: "This certificate is subject to pilot-in-command limitations for the additional rating."

(9) An applicant issued a pilot certificate with the limitation specified in paragraph (g)(8) of this section --

(i) May not act as pilot in command of the aircraft for which an additional rating was obtained under the provisions of this section until the limitation is removed from the certificate; and

(ii) May have the limitation removed by accomplishing 25 hours of supervised operating experience as pilot in command under the supervision of a qualified and current pilot in command, in the seat normally occupied by the pilot in command, in an airplane of the same type for which the limitation applies.

thanks for the clarification. I had heard from a friend of mine that several people slated as street capts. got moved over to FOs because of these requirements.

good luck jim, which ever way you choose. I would only ask that you keep in mind that the F.O.'s you will be flying with can help you out alot in a 121 enviroment.
