Yes, a new representational election must wait for two years. (Had USAPA lost, the wait would've been one year to try again.)

Changing to USAPA was the only chance of any unity at US Airways, period. The sooner we get on with it the better.

That has got to be the funniest thing I've read on this site in a long long time.

We are not unified. There is no 'getting on with it'.

I'm tired of warning people about language masking, If you need to curse, spell it out per the rules of FI. Reposting a language mask by Quoting is just as bad, Consider this a final warning..

As an outsider looking in with an honest question. Does USAir management have to honor a new seniority list if implemented by USAPA? Why would management sign off on a seniority list that will cost them millions in training cost as they furlough qualified pilots just to replace them with pilots from the same list.

If a furlough occurred under USAPA rules, captains would get furloughed and their seats would be replaced by either upgrading or requalifying F/O's who were senior to them. How they're brought back? There's the rub.

Under Nicolau, the F/O's on the bottom get furloughed and capt.s flow down to the F/O seat until the time to return, and then everyone goes back to their pre-furlough status and then upgrades occur again. You know, the way it works everywhere else in the world.

I assume that was part of the Jets for Jobs program created by ALPA.

I take it you had some issues with that program?

Or, perhaps he was furloughed from Mainline, went to work for AWA, refused recall, and through Nic moved up 800-1500 numbers. Not a bad deal.

"refused recall"? Though it's not my job to educate you I shall. The Transition Agreement clearly spelled out that AAA-furloughees on the West will simply get to keep the better of their two seniority numbers. They will not be "recalled" since they already work for this company.

As for being a good "deal", I'd venture to guess he'd rather have not been furloughed at all.

break

Ya know, it's kind of funny how even though USAPA won the Easties (and sympathizers) here still sound really bitter. Marty MCDU got himself suspended/booted off and it sounds like Trainer8 and Weasel Lips are heading in that direction. Like I've said, changing unions can't fix what's wrong with the Easties.

What did he get booted off of? Where am I supposedly headed?

Earlier today Marty MCDU violated forum rules regarding language and his post and subsequent posts quoting him were removed by a moderator.

looks like they are starting to boot people who disagree with them...

Don't think so. If the mods cut MCDU loose for anything it was foul language. The only restriction on "free speech" on this site was religion based topics, and FI removed the forum for that.

Other than that, I'm cool with what I have posted. I have yet to use foul language in any of my original posts, so I'm not worried about being banned.

Nice try though, TWAdude.

@ Golden, we do not boot anyone if we disagree with what they are saying.. In fact the mods remain neutral regarding the discussions.. What we do not tolerate is blatant disregard for the rules..

Carry on..

Just curious, and haven't looked it up, but wasn't there something that after a NMB election, there can't be another one held for 2 years??? Or is that only if no union was elected?

Oh yeah,,,, Uhmmm..that stealing of the capt seat. that was thought up, dreamt up, signed off and put in place by ALPA....soooooooo I guess ALPA is a scab?

Only in your twisted view of the world.

Once again proving why America's Worst Airline was the the only place these scumbags could get hired. They are thieves and will be treated accordingly. Period.

Yeah, I guess I couldn't get hired at America's Deadliest Airline (USAir) since they hadn't hired since 2000 and were furloughed back to the 1990s - so I had to settle for America's Worst Airline.........

D-bags...........
