stolen passport--What to do now?

i had my bag with my passport in it...stolen...

anybody know the procedure for this??

any help would be much appreciated...

I would also suggest filing a police report with the local authority and keep the documentation for your own records. That way if your passport is used between the time it is cancelled, you can show that it was documented as lost.

Send the form for the lost/stolen passport in the same day as you apply for a new passport as they will not process the passport app until the receive it. The passport people are idiots. I lost my passport and found it later (Yeah, I'm an idiot too). I was on the phone to one guy at the passport office telling me that they had not yet received my old passport when my call waiting beeped in. It was some chick in the same office saying that they had received it 3 days before and what did I want them to do with it.

If you need a passport immediately you can get one at a regional passport center. The addresses are listed on the website. Make sure you make an appointment first.

I wish I could say the same. But I can't. If we stayed downtown maybe it would be a little better. I was there 17 days for SIM and we were all just going stir crazy. Now, YOW.... GREAT OVERNIGHT! Right in the middle of downtown and women everywhere!

women everywhere????? Yeah if you like fat women who are stuck in the 80s with freaky eye makeup and hippie clothes. Been there 5 times now and I have not seen one hot girl! Just the ones I stated above and yes this was downtown with the crew drinking at the bars where you have people on the side of the roads doing funny tricks to get money.

I don't know where you've been hanging out. I haven't seen to many fat women in Canada Period and esteshilly not in YOW.

-3 Blocks from the hotel. Is Mingelwoods. It has to be 8-1 Girls to guys. 3 floors of nothing but fine women.
-Downtown in the Market there is a Irish Pub that has live bands every night. PACKED with females.
-The Big night club in the market across the street from Phat Tuesdays is full of woman.

I'm with you man, I don't like big women either. I've been quite impressed with Ottawa.
