stmp reservation nightmare

As someone who has to regularly fly into the ski resort areas, I am finding it sometimes difficult to get reservations. You have to be sitting on your computer with your finger ready to click the second 2300 Z rolls around. Wait 5 minutes and all the slots are gone. We used to be able to fly in VFR if unable to get a reservation but they put an end to that this year. Pretty much, no reservation, no go.

I have heard a rumor that Flexjet pays people to sit around and suck up every slot available so they can use them if needed. Anybody have any info on this?

there was a huge thread about this issue on the NBAA Av. Mgr list. Basically while the share programs are snatching up a bunch of slots, there is monitoring going on to inusre that those slots are getting used, and by the N-number slated for that slot, or changed in the appropriate manner.

my advice...keep you finger at the ready.
