RJETS new contract blows Mesa's contract out of the water

- 2nd year pay is $10 more per flight hour
-perdiem is .75 cents more an hour

New hires today will NEVER upgrade, despite what mgmt says
Total pilot group sits at 800
Projected pilot group is 1100 after all 175s come on line
Leaves roughly the top 600 to a captain spot.
Zero attrition. Pilot group is too senior to leave.

Year 4 of contact talks with zero progress. No work rules, no RSV long call, crappy pay, no health ins ( too expensive ) etc etc

Just say no !

So where will Mesa get their CAs to fly the 175s? CRJ FOs bidding over?

If Mesa doesn't get an industry standard contract to compete with RJET pay scale. No pilots will be coming to Mesa.

Mesa pilots better hope that the RAH pilots vote in the TA. If the TA gets voted down though, things in Mesa land could get interesting.

Sounds like:

A: You do not want pilots to come to mesa?
B. You work for republic
C. Are lacking analytical skills.

Mesa will have 1100 pilots next year.
Mesa had 550 pilots last year
55% of all pilots are Captains.

You do the math.

FO's will upgrade to both CRJ and E 175 Captains?
What other regional is growing this fast?

Why are you so negative on Mesa?

Methinks yo have another agenda?

Rene, how soon will pilots 750-1100 upgrade with 5% attrition?

I seem to remember leaving Mesa 5.5 years ago and everyone I came up with wearing 4 stripes where I'm at now... Not so much for my classmates at MAG. But keep dreaming about your airline, at least in this biz there will always be a place for the low ball operators.

Says the one poster who is always spinning Mesa into a positive light, only posts in Mesa threads and is obviously pushing a pro-Mesa agenda.

Mesa has been/always will be a four letter airline. The pilot community is small and places like Mesa don't get their reputations for no reason.

If you think you're worth $22,000 a year get a job at a burger joint, but don't go getting into $100,000 worth of debt to do it.

I've been saying the exact same thing.

Once again you are spreading false information

Wow, you just continue to show your ignorance. As of today Mesa pilots = 632 332 Captains & 300 FO's. With only the growth already announced of 40 aircraft Mesa will hire 468 pilots over the next 15 months. this SIMPLE math results in 220 new captains.

With any additional AA growth or with the 30 united E 175 options, we are looking at very fast upgrades.

Hard to compare a TA at republic with a five year old contract at Mesa?

Mesa is a different airline

Mesa is just a much different airline than it may have been when you were here. At least from where I sit, it is a much better run airline from a maintenance and from a pilot training and staffing perspective. This may just possibly WHY Mesa is earning new business from UAL and AA?

Its been about 7 years since I was at the regionals. I seem to remember this exact thread title. We all know mesa is not a great place. As long as there are low time, hungry pilots, with jets in their eyes, Mesa will be able to hire pilots.
