Standing-Room only "Seats" ??

Did anybody else see this on TV....??

I can't recall exactly where/when I saw this but it seems that Airbus is toying with the idea of putting some kind of "standing-room-only" section on their A-380s.

Sound like a pretty idiotic idea to me. Standing room only is for concerts and the occasional sporting event...with beers and hot dogs....not going to Europe.

I agree. Who'd want to do that for 10-18 hrs. I heard (CNN) that they'd be padded "slabs" at an angle and you'd be strapped in.
