Was watching Countdown on MSNBC Tonight. They were talking about how Airbus has an option on new planes for standing boards you get strapped to for short flights. Guess it was targeted or aisain inter island routes.

Guess it would be physically possible in an RJ. Funny thought though

I didn't think the airlines couldn't sink any lower with charges for aisle and emergency row seats, charges for sodas, or removing pillows....but if this catches on.....

I really can't see this catching on in the US. But if it does, it could make deadheading a whole new kind of hell. And I'd be real curious to see the contraption to hold people in place during turbulence.

It reminds me of that carnival ride where it spins so fast that centrifugal force pins you to the wall and the floor drops away.

Oh you mean that alien space craft ride. and their is someone in the middle of the ride who I think is still and plays the music. That ride rocked! Havent been on that for a looooooong time. Use to love going upside down when you were spinning fast enough. Of course had to flip back around when the ride slowed down or.......

Gyroscopic Precession and The Alien Space Craft Ride

That's the one.

There's a little known correlation between aviation and the alien space craft ride. When somebody would get sick, the person located 90 degrees away in the direction of rotation would get hit by the vomit.:puke:

I've been on this ride, and I once saw someone do something pretty amazing. Most people just have fun just crawling up the walls, and the really crazy people flip themselves upside-down. But what this one kid did was incredible. He was actually STANDING on the wall with his entire body hanging about 4 or 5 feet off the floor. Surprised the operator allowed it. I think I'm gonna try that next time.
