Does anyone know of a message board or support group or anything like that for pilot's wives. Mine is awesome for the most part, but every once in a while I wish she could vent to someone who's in the same position. Just little things like why things always break when I'm on a trip and not when I'm home, etc. Thanks for any info and Happy New Years!!

I remember my bride telling me about one a few months ago.

I'll pass the thread to my wife. She might have the link.

If you start one, you could call it The Bitchin' Bettys' Board.

Why not have the people who run this board set up a "spouse board".....I think that could be a whale of a lot of fun!

The last thing we need is our wives comiserating. Keep your ideas to yourself!

I Second that motion. All opposed?

Yahoo! Groups has one. I don't dare read it... full of "he is never home" and "he cheated on me with the FA stores." I have seen on the IE that my wife reads it but I don't bring it up since she doesn't use it as ammo against me.

Geez,

First a pilot has to contend with TSA, FBI, FAA, NTSB, BAC,PAX's, Wx and a host of other things at work.... when it is time to go home ya gotta deal with the wife and a message board on yahoo that flames behavior of pilots?

It's a tough job!

OK, this might be a really dumb question: but do same sex partners have this problem too? No disrespect, I am just wondering if they have to listen to the same thing as us hetro guys do when daddy (mommy?) gets home.

I'll stand back now.....

My wife is understanding but too a point. So I had to explain it to her, when I'm home- I'm home! If you work 9-5 with an hour commute each way how much time do you get together? I work 4 on with 3 off on average and I know we have plenty of time together. Does stuff break on the road? Sure, washer took a header when I was on the road but you deal with it and move on. My first year I

Sorry I hit enter too soon! I took the wife to St. Thomas and Ireland last year, first class, that kept her complaining to a minimum (notice I did not say entirely!!!!) Fly safe-
