Is Southwest actually interviewing non typed folks?
Any ideas of the ratio of typed verses non-typed?

I don;t know the ratio, but LL told us during my HPA Type class that most of the calls were guys and gals that had types, but also some without.

Sorry I can't be more specific. Still waiting myself.

4 of my buds interviewed 1st week of May, 3 had the type and one didn't. The guy without the type got calls to his references the next week and one of the guys with the type did not (read into that what you want???) Just FYI

to type or not to type...

During last week's interview, there were 18 of us "running the gauntlet". At least 4 didn't have their type - 2 military and 2 civilian. So they are definitely calling folks who haven't got their type yet - guess it just depends on how the apps catch their eye!

In an early May class, Higher Power had at least one women already hired by SWA without being typed. However, LL did say that SWA was primarily focused on folks with the type. She also said that they are trying to keep their new hire classes mixed with those that have primarily civilian and those with primarily military backgrounds.

A buddy of mine interviewed without the type earlier this year and was given the nod to get it. Should be in class later in the summer.

Bones,

I also had a buddy who was interviewed in March w/o a type. I'm going to take a guess that it is who you know to advocate for you to be interviewed.
