Southwest trying to give up gates at BWI

Some have said SWA is in some sort of battle with the BWI airport authority about airport fees. SWA has a history of telling airport authorities to basicly "shove it" when they attempt to get extra fees from SWA. They don't bluff - when they say they'll decrease flights or gates if fees increase - they do it. It sends a message to other airports.
 
I may be wrong )(probably am) but we have two gates in the "C" Concourse that we kept when the "A" wing opened. We also have a "B" gate or two that we use only for irregular ops, wx etc. So we may be cutting fat.
