If SWA is where you want to be, and you can make it, go to the job fair. Learn a little about FTI and meet some of the People Dept. folks from SWA. At the very least you are going to learn more about the airline you want to work for and meet some of the fine people that work there.
No need to know any SWA pilots, however, if you fly for a "large regional" chances are some of your former colleagues are now at SWA. Try and track them down, discuss the job, interview process, and the company. Learn as much as you can about SWA's values and see how they allign with yours. Start prepping for an interview now. Reflect on your past flying experiences (this will help answer their "tell us about a time" questions), collect the three letters of rec (people need time to write them for you), ect. Read "Nuts" if you haven't, and if you have, read it again. Review SWA history on their website.
Good luck
