I just got the call from HR and set up an 8th of July interview!! Kim said they were going to be interviewing the 8th, 9th, and 10th. They were also going to be the week after as well. Good luck to all!!

I've heard rumors that they will interview 'typed only' canidates first, but that's why I asked the question of the original poster.

'A couple of years out' might be a stretch, but there might be some military guys with more insight.

I think 15-18 per day was about the average when they were interviewing last year.

I wouldn't be so sure. I know JetBlue HR figures out who people are on this site. You might just be on a list that the hiring departments at various airlines share with each other. I'd pipe it down a bit until you get a job somewhere other than the Waffle House.

Did you get a resume to them at one of their job fairs....I am just curious. I only have the online application going. I have had it in there for about 3 years.... For reference

I heard from a Check Pilot that the interview will be a tour, one PD interview, one Pilot interview, short but different LOI, out by lunch. I suppose it's all in the name of efficiency.

WN has plenty of -700's on order.

All those being parked are -300/-500s. SWA is retiring some of their own -300s. I doubt they would want more.

Heard from a friend, who has a friend that got called for a interview in July. He DOES NOT HAVE the 737 Type Rating yet. Mid 2500 hrs, single seat military guy (so I assume most of that time is PIC)

Just for reference. There is hope for those without the type.

And just a humble tip for those possibly furloughed/out of work from a BK career etc... Just because you have a bazillion 737 hours, SWA doesn't owe you a job. Be humble.

IMHO; SWA hires the person, not the qualifications.
