Dude

If it wasn't for SWA, you would not have a contract like you got. As for DAL/NWA it is apples and oranges. DUDE. You can have your rat hole ATL. By the way, you will not have DAL, MDW, BWI, MCO, HOU, LAS, PHX, OAK. Best of luck DUDE

I know you're struggling to catch up, Chief, but those basic protections were in our 2001 Contract as well.

As for the crappy 2010 Contract, we were actually hamstrung by the pending merger. With a 98% strike vote, we were in the drivers' seat, until the SWA announcement came out. The SWA announcement worked against us, big time. I don't expect you to understand this; I am writing for anyone else who may be reading this.

It is in AirTran's pilot contract, and it is binding upon any merger or purchase of 51% or more.

This is not a merger so that is not a player. In our contract we have a similiar provision only if we buy someone. Is yours worded the same way? Would you mind sharing the wording of that section of your contract?

No they didn't, pay was about the only thing. 75 hour reserve, equal pay for rotations (res. vs reg.), commuting policy, etc to name a few. The pay raise combine with the decrease in contract improvements equaled a pay cut for most former NWA pilots.

How about sick call? I would say EVERY NWA pilot likes the new sick call policy--AKA call in, and not give a note. How about new bases? How many FNWA guys now are based out West and down South? How about Greenslips? FNWA guys are cleaning up on that one. And it seems PLENTY of FNWA pilots voted for the joint contract. Whatever, dude.

This guy is smoking dope. And, Arbitrators will look at the USAir debacle SLI and the DL/NWA SLI to help determine yours. Enjoy it.

It's not a merger? Gary Kelly has stated so in many articles. And, the arbitrators will seperate the krap from each contract and determine the list. Your lawyers will fight it out, and then you will get to share cockpits with Ty. You had better be nice, he will likely be your Captain.
