Annual shareholders meeting is on the 21st. Coincidence? Who knows. With a quick internet search, you'll find lots of companies have been bought for $600million including "Jenny Craig." Maby we're buying Richard Simmons "Deal a Meal" program, and we'll paste his cute face on our planes.

Didn't AirTran already do that???? Richard Simmons, Elton John..........Their hair style was the only difference.

Sorry, I didn't read the post previous to yours first.

Why would LUV acquire an airline with 50+ 717s?
Wouldn't they rather have an airline with 110 737s, ETOPS, established Hawaii/Mexico service, huge fuel hedges and $1.1B in the bank?

And options for 100 MORE 737s on Boeing's books?

That would be Alaska and it really makes more sense.

Alaska is probable going to American or Continental when consolidation is all said and done!

Maybe when UAL doesn't get the financing they want, they may shrink just like CAL did. That would leave DEN wide open for not only domestic expansion but also some international destinations.

What'd I miss? You got a link or something about this? Or is this when CAL pulled out of DEN? Come on man, speak up!!!!

I wouldn't read too much into it. It's cheaper to borrow money when you don't need it, than when you do.

Get an equity line on your house before the furlough/strike/divorce, not after ;)
