Just got the ASAMEC Fastread: "In our opinion as an overall assesment there was some progress made. The issues seem to be narrowing to the core issues."

Sounds like they are getting close to finishing this thing.

Lord knows how long it will take to iron out even after getting it down to "the core issues". I would guess that those "core issues" (pay, scheduling) would be the most difficult to negotiate.

Seeing as how it has taken 3.5 years just to agree on the minor issues (assuming that has happened) I don't have much faith in "finishing this thing" anytime soon.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

Like everything else at ASA, I'll believe it when I have the TA in my hand.

General Lee.......Please tell us your thoughts on our negotiations. I mean, tell us what we will get. No need to include rates for the 90 seaters, since its clear that you Delta boys will NEVER allow that.

DITTO !!!!

Somebody refresh my memory and tell me which sections are scheduling and pay rates.

Thanks

You will get what is necessary to keep incoming CR7s, while making JA happy. So, I doubt it will be a raise. I won't include those rates you stated (different rates for different planes), since JA won't include them either. One jet rate for two types (the 50 and the 70) will probably result for you guys too. Good luck to you.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Sounds like we're close to finishing??? What crack are you smoking :)

Sounds like we're close to getting to the point where we have to have the strike vote to get any further in the negotiations.

Fly the contract & STOP calling for fuel & the release, that's the "departure coordinators" job, not yours!

"SOME". Cool your heels. There still is a road to travel.

Also, you can thank Pete Davis for allowing the company to schedule you up to 30 hours in 7 days. There goes some of the QOL issues that we owned.

Oh, as opposed to the 27.5 "weekly buffer" that scheduling doesn't even apply correctly half the time?

At least with a max 30/7 I can swap or pick up trips as I want. I can't tell you how many swaps I get denied because it's 28.2 hours/7, with no chance for me to waive it.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. You won't be able to pick up over 28 hours but they can sch you for 30.

If you want to fly 30 in 7 great. I would rather have the choice instead of the company making the choice for me.

What is your source for the 30 hours? I haven't been briefed on that, and I'm one of those P2P dudes. If indeed sch'g were to schedule you for exactly 30/7, do you really think that makes sense? It'd be very easy to time out if that were the case. Right now they can schedule you for 27.5/7 so it's difficult to time out. 28/7 wouldn't be much of a change either. But, maybe we have agreed to something like that, but I haven't heard anything.

Ran into one of the guys going to DC the other day.

That's where I'm at. We should have the choice to waive it if it benefits us.

Yeah - but you can bet the Company will pressure you to waive it when you are fatigued and it benefits them. Just like the part 91 ferry flights after 16 on duty.

Darned... My island's just full of women. I can't even keep track of them all. I think the only one that has been scoped is Mrs. Howell.
