General,

Who the hell was gloating!!! YOU, called our ugly paint scheme cat puke. Its OUR (SWA's) joke!!

Have YOU ever been furloughed and taken a pay cut!!! Well I have Mr. General. Have YOU ever been furloughed?? Well I have Mr. General. I am on my sixth airline. So don't try to pull that crap you pompus a$$. I have more empathy than you will ever. And its real. Everyone reads your underlieing passive agressive approach to the other airlines. Your not fooling anyone. Get real. Your the kind of guy that loves to hear anything that might be negative about the LCC's.

You are a piece of work.

6 furloughs? Then why do you have such a cocky attitude? And I am a piece of work? I have stated many times that I enjoy this whole industry and ask many questions about all airlines. In my "cat puke orange" comment---you forgot to add what I said right after that----namely that the colors really GREW on me and I really like them now with the winglets. Oh, you forgot that part.....You are the a$$ there buddy. I have avoided furlough by luck---and I have always stated that. I try to help my friends that are furloughed---what else should I do? I am waiting......I am following my union's lead here---that is all I can do really. I have flown at the commuters (pre regional days)--and I have made squat. I was hired at the right time and was lucky not to be furloughed. You weren't 5 times---and that isn't my fault. I have stood up to what I feel is right, and I have given my opinion freely. I have never picked on the LCCs---except Jetblue's NYC base and how some might have to live in Yonkers---and that is a joke with me and those guys. Ty Webb and I trade jabs every once and awhile--but the only thing I have said about them was that they didn't have the ramp space at ATL--yet. I have not said anything bad about Southwest except that they lack some IFE--which is true and the orange color--which I like with winglets. I have stated that I have had great jumpseats on Southwest---and that's about it.

You sir are WRONG. Prove me wrong there chief.

Bye Bye--General Lee

There is nothing for me to prove General. You do it all the time on your own.

Being on a sixth airline doesn't mean I have been furloughed 5 times. Just shows your lack of experience in these matters. Why do you think me being furloughed has anything to do with you?? How arrogant to think you have any power in my life. Everyones got your number "chief". You have 2610 posts as of now. Who's the freak?? You do no one any good on this forum.

GET A FREAKIN LIFE!!!

Oh and the little  is suppose to hurt my feelings.

SWAdude,

Man alive, you are the freak here. Sure, I have a lot of posts, and that probably means I enjoy this board and have been on it for a long time. I really don't care about your 6 jobs---and whether or not you were furloughed 5 times. This is an opinion board, and I do just that. Live with it or log off. And I don't care if you don't like the faces I put on here----you are the first one to notice them. Have a great one!

Bye Bye---General Lee:cool:

Go ahead and have the last word General. I make a friendly response to one of your passive aggressive posts and you call me cocky. Thats the bottom line. This got out of hand. You have a way of antagonizing people on this board and I got caught up in it. Shame on me.

SWAdude:cool:

Calm down guys....

On a lighter note:

General you mentioned that you're able to get a discount on the Song food (it is really good, BTW). I would have thought you'd get it for free as a crew meal??? What's up with that?

Song's cabins and leather chairs are decked out in garish oranges, lime greens, purples and light blues.

Good thing the "Disco Bird" 727's aren't flying anymore, or this guy would have had a conniption. Those were some of the worst interiors ever, although I am sure they were a big hit in the 70's.

I find the General to be pretty insightful and I appreciate that he cares about the DAL furloughees. Enough said. I like the winglets on the SWA 737s as well.

Time to move on....

airbaker,

No, we get a discount because that type of food is not a "crew meal". But, the food actually tastes good---and I usually get something on the long flights from BOS or JFK to LAS---and every once and awhile to FLA from the NE. The sandwiches are really tasty.

Stifler's mom,

We are going after a certain type of passenger that wants fun---and someone in ATL chose those types of colors. I guess they are there to "wake you up" and get you excited about going to sunny Florida.

Heavyset,

Thank you for your response---I actually do care about the furloughs and I am just trying to give my opinion on this board. Sometimes people think it is way off base.

SWAdude,

I am sorry I called you cocky. I guess I misunderstood your response.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

General,

I thought one of the best things that Leo did was to make it a priority to start refurbishing the AC interiors in the late 90's.

The old 727 interiors I was referring to did not match the "image" that Delta was trying to give though.

General,
Where and when? Just curious. And what is "pre regional"

We all know about the making squat part...

colorado418,

I won't give the exact airline or dates--but I flew E120s in the Chicago area-----out of an airport that Southwest frequents.....in the "early 90s." Is that good enough? "Pre regional" days are the commuter days--when they didn't fly 3 hour legs across the nation in RJs.....I guess that would mean that they "stayed in their own region...."(??)

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

6. TV stations not working. That is not Song's fault--rather Direct TV's.

General,

It might be advisable to have your facts straight before you make a complete post. Making a statement about your own airline that is absolutely incorrect makes you look like the freak even if you aren't one. Direct TV has NOTHING to do with your IFE. Your service is provided by Dish Network. It's hard to believe that someone has to correct you about SONG. WOW!

StickN

side stick n,

You are correct, I always mix that up---it starts with a "D" I know. Dish...Direct...Direct Dish....Direct Surfin..Surfin Arrival.....You got me!

Bye Bye--General Lee:D
