"We're not short of crews for the next 2-3 weeks....we're short for
the next couple of years."

"Two other things to be aware of at the beginning of the New Year. First,
expect a pretty sizable bid in January or February....more to come on that
later."

Not that any of that doesn't sound right on the money, but I seem to have missed that FCIF. I even went hunting it and couldn't find it. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction. (I wonder what else I might have missed.)

TonyC, it came out last night.

You are probably not "tracking" all needed FCIFs. Here is how you do it:

Go to VIPS. Type in keyword "FCIF". At the bottom of your screen, click on "Track".

Here is what I have selected:
-Vital Crew Information
-B727 Crew Information
-Administrative Information
-Hotel, Catering, GT Changes
-General Crew Information

To see the FCIF I mentioned, go to VIPS, keyword "FCIF" and select "Administrative Information" and "Submit". It is the latest FCIF and it at the top of the list called "Christmas Feed Bag".

Word from a buddy going through Initial Training is that the training department is gearing up for 72 new hires/month starting in March.

72 a month sounds a little much. i doubt we have the instructors, sims, and LCA's to handle 72 a month. Its a great rumor, and I hope its true, but is sounds a little unrealistic.

Awwwww.... you shoulda just said it's the "Feed Bag" FCIF ! Since I'm planning to be home for Christmas, I didn't see the need to find out about the free jumbo shrimp.


I've got the tracking thing down, and even know how to search. My problem was I couldn't bring myself to read through the "Feed Bag" FCIF. I got through about 3 lines of the poem and had to move on. On your advice, I read the entire thing, and am now asking myself if the trivial bit of useful information was worth the torture of sifting through the whole thing.
