You'll recall the "non-aviation" section was created to pull the off-topic stuff out of the aviation threads! Just where do you think it's going to go now? If the new mods think "away" is where it's going to go, you're nuts.

I can understand a new person, as moderator, having different tolerance levels for different things. Everyone has a level at which they say 'that's enough'. Mark had his level, the new mods are going to have theirs'.

What I would have preferred is to have them sit down with us and tell us what is going through their minds, what changes they find necessary and why.

If you have ever led a group of people, you fast find out that they are unable to respect you if you are capricious or heavy handed. A little dialogue moderators!
