If you haven't been paying your taxes, you might well be better off if this flight school disappears, along with all it's business records!

Unfortunately you're right. With the new school they cover worker's compensation, SS and medicare and it's all legit. So I guess I can learn to love the system.

but the IRS might come a knockin' in a few years when you do begin to earn again. They're gonna want to find out why you've been reporting your employer on your credit bureaus (it's automatic when you apply for any credit), but haven't had any income.

Thankfully I have a "real" job that does pay taxes so I'm not too worried about that knock. But again, you guys are right, I lose a little bit hourly, but gain it back in the security of legality.
