So far they have fired 2 people in the first 10 min of the show for being 4 minutes late to class from break, and 1 guy got fired for not answering the phone so they could tell him he needed a hearing test. Frontier looks like alot of BS. They are just flight attendant...... just my .02 cents
She went to get something out of her car during break and got locked out of the building. She had to knock on windows to get in. Lets be reasonable here guys.
I can't say I actually saw the episode, but being 4 minutes late to class after she was "satisfying" herself is NOT reason for termination. An informal counseling session might be required, instructing her to use a pilot volunteer instead. She could then take the rest of the day off, with pay of course...
Their freaking FA's for Christ's sake, not defenders of our freedom. Cut them some slack. I guess F9 has an easier time finding people to work for minimum wages.
Firing trainees for being late to class is SOP for F/A training. At SWA when the class takes a break, the time to be back is written on the board. When that time comes, the door to the classroom is closed...we were told that if we found ourselves on the wrong side of the door...."Don't knock, don't come in....go to the receptionist desk... she will arrange transportation back to the hotel and book your flight home"
It seems cruel but, it serves a purpose. The message that tardiness will not be tolerated is transmitted loud and clear.
Crew Sked is every bit as demanding...when the time comes to check-in...if you are even on second late...you're late.

Hmmm, it's one of the many reasons we run 80-90%+ on-time. When it's all said and done, our passengers appreciate it and that's all that really matters. Not whether some chump on flightinfo.com thinks it's BS.

So, let me get this straight.....since I fly a 172 and work for F9, I can't comment on affairs happening at F9, but since you fly a RJ for ASA or Comair, you are perfectly adept to speak on issues taking place here? Furthermore, you can state with unwavering certainty based on your above qualifications (RJ pilot with Delta Connection) the current working conditions and corporate culture at F9? BTW, how are things going right now at Comair/ASA? Maybe you should focus your attention to that sinking ship you are now on instead of poking your nose in something you have no idea about.
I prefer to see companies promote and teach personal responsibility. It sets the trend and tone for the young people in their first real job. Too bad parents don't do a better job. Good for Frontier and SWA in pushing the idea of being on-time and not tolerating excuses. Wish more companies did the same. Some people need a wake up call and firing those who are late is a good life lesson for both the 'fireee' and a good example for the others. More companies should do the same. I get so tired of people being being late or not taking my appointment seriously and thinking nothing of it.
Watch out, you may get flamed by the FAB 4 who will either say that you were someone who got fired and is now pissed off, or you are someone that they did not like and use his name, I guess you may end up being their new pawn when they see this remark

Good way to teach them not to be late & on time, what was sooooo important that she had to go to her car during a quick break. The instructor just finished about the important of returning to class on time.
As far as the guy who did not take his hearing test, that was part of his medical exam, which is required before the first day of class, he was emailed several times, was called on his phone & cell phone, yet, the student ignored all messages. Once again, it was his responsibility to complete the medical exam.
I think this is somewhat typical of all FA training. Hell in Singapore they give the FA a dress size for her career. You gain you go. You get pregnant you go. You 30 you go.
