I currently have 1260/122. Problem i have is my age, I am only 20. My question is if skywest age rule is mandatory or if it is just a guideline like some other regional. I would love to work for skywest. Any thoughts?

Drink some beer, screw some 18 year old chicks and wait till you're 21.......:pimp:

Theres no point in working for an Airline if you cant drink on the layovers any way!!! :)

Is it legal to have an age limit beyond what the FARs require for a newhire? I suppose they could limit people based on potential upgrade, but SkyWest requires 2500 tt to upgrade, too, and they don't require that for a newhire. Is an arbitrary age-limit legal?

I'd say you should definately apply and hope for an interview. By the time they get around to you, they may just offer you a job and put you in a pool until you meet the age requirement. I believe they hired in the past as low as 19 but didn't have very good luck with it.
