Talk about missing the forest for the trees....so AAA/AWA would be a placid sea of contenment if it weren't for bad old ALPA in the mix? THAT is asinine. All politics are local, nowhere is that more true than in union politics. The MEC and the line pilots is where the buck stops, if a particular MEC can't extract their head from their ass on occasion, that is between them and their membership, not Herndon.
Don't act like SkyWest is simply passing on ALPA and is rushing to set up an in-house union, because that is false. Comparing the SkyWest group and their feelings with pro-active, successful, and organized groups like the APA and SWAPA is preposterous.
I have lot's of friends over there, but the SkyWest pilot group screwed the pooch this time.
