How does one get into the SkyWest Training Dept.? Do you have to be a Captain first? I'm interested in becoming a Check Airman/Training Captain in the future.
Thanks

A lot of the instructors here, ground and static are FO's. I guess its a matter of what you wnat to do within the company. Dont know the qualifications though.

In order to be a check airman/training captain, yes, you do have to be a captain first. You need a certain amount of PIC time in the aircraft...I have no idea how much it is. As far as getting in, I'm pretty sure they're always taking applications...I'm sure a chief pilot would know the specifics...

Be a company kiss ass and rat on your fellow co workers and youl be in management real quik
