I think it's great that the pilot's at Skywest don't want ALPA. They send a great message to the union by turning them down. Im in the union and I think it's a waste of my hard earned money. Keep up the work.

This is the first time aircraft (and more specifically jobs) from a union carrier are directly being transferred one-for-none to a non-union carrier, and ALPA sits on its arse as usual.

you got that exactly right. 10 years of my WASTED money...if it wasn't for prison time I'd go kick in their doors and get it back.

Just read Ron Reber's post concerning the Comair flying. While he starts by saying that he doesn't know where the flying is going ;), he goes on to state that cost isn't the only factor, ASA may be better positioned, there are a lot more opportunities, etc., etc.,...basically getting the troops ready for the fact that the flying is going to ASA.

So you can pretty much bet on it.

Skywest, while all the other regionals are getting hammered, do you think you will remain forever immune? and if not, do you think you will get support when you do....

It's your bed....

You have to live in the present Rez. you can't be sitting around worrying about what "could" happen all the time. You can drive yourself crazy if you do that. I am not paranoid, I am a logical person. I am living for the moment not what could happen.

He goes on to say that the RFP calls for 50 76 jets. So ASA might get the 900's also.

I wouldn't count on it. ASA is so deep in despair I'm surprised delta hasn't thrown them out of atlanta.

Awww poor little SuperPoopy has a hard one for her ex-employer! You know nothing Poopy. Thought you were at CAL now? Why don't you go cry and whine on the major board. You must miss us huh. Loser!

VOTED IN FAVOR!

Scarlet,

You decry SkyWest's success solely on the ground that they are non-union company, yet in the past you have not only excused but celebrated GoJets because "at least they voted in a union."

I, for one, think you need to re-evaluate your priorities...

Ron's statement implies that ASA is more likely to do the CVG flying. That's good news for them! Perhaps it also means they'll get a contract hammered out before Feb '07.

When will you understand? ALPA can't do SH1t about it.

There's nothing in our current contract that prohibits the transfer of aircraft. What leg would you have ALPA stand on to stop it? So get off the lame, "it's all ALPA's fault" bandwagon!!! Putz!!

Yeah it sucks, but it is what it is.

You guys claim SkyWest is a bunch of scumbags for taking Comairs flying but if ASA gets it, it's good for ASA? Why is it ok for ASA? You're a bunch of double talkin doushbags.

If you are not looking out any further than your own nose then you are gonna eventually gonna fall flat on your face. Cause somethings gonna trip you up; it's not a matter of if, but when. Being that shortsided is scary. Aren't ya glad there are others in your group that aren't so shortsided?

We should all be more concerned with the USAIR bid for DAL. A good majority of regional guys not to mention others will be out on their can if that happens.

ASA is not higher!

They are taking all of ASA's 700's because ASA's costs are higher than SkyWests (Hmmmm....maybe that's because ASA actually wants to be paid more to fly a larger airplane...what an idea!?!?!)

I believe that at the end of the month, Skywest 700 pilots are paid more than ASA. ASA is currently the lowest overall cost airline of all the DCI variant. Sky is getting the 700's for no other reason than to prove a point regardless of costs. JA does not like unions, period. He has to believe he got the upper hand in this contract before we see anything come to ASA. Sad but true!

jeez...did some of you go to college. You're an embarassment the way you conort the definition of words.

BTW I think we can all agree that SkyW inc. bought these planes.

We are no crossing picket lines.

Just because you're mad, doesn't mean you should try and bring us down too.

You idiots are telling skyw pilots to get a union, when it is a UNION carrier that is losing it flying! I hope blue dont get alpa, I don't want to lose our flying!

Question:

What's a "schmuck", and is an F'n one better or worse than the unmodified variety?

Did NOT VOTE for The Brieling-Jackson Coalition!

Notice how they sidestep the issue everytime someone points out that its ASA who's going to get the first chunk of Comair' flying.

Bunch of hypocrites!

from Ron Reber's message on SWOL -

"ASA may be better positioned to fly these jets in CVG. But while the details and decisions are being worked out, we need to remember that ASA and SkyWest are a powerful alliance - we have to be. Once again, the overarching principle is that what is good for Inc. is good for us."

Schmuck, a Yiddish word, has a range of meaning depending on context. In its most innocuous use, a schmuck is a person who does a stupid thing, in which case “dumb schmuck” is the appropriate expression.

Wouldn't "dumb schmuck" be redundant? I'm guessing F'n would be worse.

.

You mean something along the lines of Lynn whining to SH and CT about her propaganda materials being balled up and stuffed in her mailbox? You mean something like having CP Lightfeet taking posters down, and then having to put them back up? That a good example? Thought so.

VOTED IN FAVOR of Striking!
Did NOT vote for The Brieling-Jackson Amusement Center!

I see you can't come up with a GOOD reply. I must be right then!

most people on here will never come up with more of a response than that. They think because they are in a union they have all the answers. Heres my Response

VOTED IN FAVOR of the payraise
