Any Skywest folks willing to share some info? Looking for the approx. hire date of most junior CA and FO on both airplanes in SLC. Can anyone oblige?

Educated Guess:
CRJ Capt SLC 17000 series (3 years)
CRJ Fo SLC 26000 series (fresh out of training)
EMB Capt 21000 series (2 years plus)
EMB Fo 26000 nearly fresh out of training

Hope that helps for right now.

1st year pay being $19 an hour and with mins guaranteed what is a realistic estimate of salary for the 1st year,19k? I know there per diem and all that, and with some companies way to make a little more if you know what you are doing so I am just wondering. Thanks

More like mid $20K's. You should make more than guarantee most months the first year even on reserve.

Mid 20's, Not likely.

Hired in Jan 04, flew about 700 hours and made almost 16 grand my first year at SkyWest, however that was when they didn't pay during training. I suppose a realistic estimate would be about $17,000 give or take a little.

Realistic 2'nd year brasilia $28,000 or $34,000 for the barbie jet

hope that helps!!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but does Skywest have any sort of training commitment or agreement?

No. Skywest doesn't have a training commitment. Amount of money depends if you hold a line and how much you decide to work. 1st year can range from 16k to 25k. I made about 49k as a second year FO in the Bro, but I worked my butt off!

Are Salt lake and Chicago the most junior bases or can you get something else out of training? What about the Bra side.

Well, I'm a 2nd year RJ FO and my last paystub showed a YTD of just under $24K. It would be higher but I've taken 5 weeks of MIL leave this year.

I'd plan on getting ORD or SLC out of training in the jet. Cali bases if in the EMB

It all depends. I made in the high 20's my first year, mid to upper 40's my second and third years, and am looking at low 50k this year.

You gotta work extra once in a while though, and pick up jr man trips when you can.

Have any of you 120 guys had any luck commuting out of some of the smaller towns they base junior 120 FOs in?

You can definitely make extra doing this.

however...

I averaged about 15 days off a month, and never pick up extra trips. Then again I hate working (any job, not just flying). I was a lazy bro fo, an even lazier jet fo, and now I'm pretty much in a comatose state most of the time back in the left seat of the EMB. Life's too short to spend it in some crappy Red Lion or Holiday Inn when you don't have too. ...But whatever makes you happy!!

this is wrong, im 21000 and above and was able to uprgrade on the bro in 15 months. As for the jet a 20400 is the most junior and thats about 6 months senior to me.

The last jet CA award went to a 8/04 hire. Bro is a year and falling!! I think the jet will stay around the 2 year mark and the bro less then a year!! MY GUESS.

So during training when do you get paid? Is it on day one? or after two weeks? or something else entirely? And also, are you getting perdiem or just the guarantee? I have done a search and can't seem to find answers to these q's. TIA
