Bye Bye--General Lee
You're welcome. I just call them like I see them. Since DAL dictates when and where their regional partners fly can you give us one good reason why DAL shouldn't be responsible for paying the fuel bill? Regionals provide contract lift on a cost plus basis. Unlike a regular airline regionals cannot raise ticket prices to cover increased costs. Of course not many majors seem to be raising ticket prices choosing instead to reduce pay, benefits, and outsource as much as possible. But I digress. Let's get back to your whiny piss ant complaints about Ron Reber stating the truth about SKYW being insulated from fuel costs due to a cost plus fee per departure arrangment. If DAL wishes to call the shots as to when and where aircraft fly what's wrong with the deal?
Also let's look at who made the deal. Did SKYW or any other regional point a gun at DAL and make them sign the contract? Doesn't DAL have a well paid, talented, and knowledgeable managment team capable of negotiating a basic feed contract that offers DAL reliaable and reasonable feed? Or is it just SKYW that has intelligent managment?
