yeah; i got a bad feeling that all these events lately are going to lead to some changes to our FAA medical exams..get ready for a psych eval every couple of years.

If the pilot shortage hasn't started by then I'd expect psych evals to jump start it a bit. :D
 
He was a pilot for Skywest, but couldn't even get the plane in the air????

Exactly. If he wanted to steal it he would have. How hard is it to reverse off the gate and get airborne before anyone has a clue? He just wanted to die and make a statement that would cost Skywest some dough.

I am a lot more worried about the Al Qaeda Islamist fanatics in the pipeline.

Ten years from now I suspect a rash of Egypt Air-style crashes.... THe bad guys will always be a step ahead of the good guys.
 
Not that it matters, but Brian Hedglin is also former American Eagle.

I haven't heard anything in the news but I know he has at least a couple of kids that would be in their teens now. My thoughts are with them.
