This has to be an xjt crew recording.

Ever think maybe mngmt doesn't work with pilots cause we are so hostile and unwilling to do any extra. Maybe if everyone was like this guy mngmt might be easier to work with. Maybe not. But maybe.

You have got to be kidding me. If this the case show me proof of management rewarding pilots for going the extra mike? At pinnacle phil rigorously pumped out memos to the entire employee saying thanks for the ontime, thanks for this and that. All for what? lol I mean really?!?! Please lay off the koolaid for christ sake. I can not understand why would anyone go the extra mile in hopes that management will be easier to work with? get the ************************* out. Im telling you this industry is phuuuuucked up.

The only tool is the guy who recorded and posted this. Do you hate yourself/career/life that much that you need to put others down? sad. The only thing this pilot is guilty of doing was being slightly unsafe, that was his choice. Judging by how well he did it I am guessing he was a ramper in the past and had done that a million times. Grow up people.

I don't work for Uncle Phil so I wouldn't know. I wouldn't have went to Peanuckle if it was the last airline on earth. But hey to each their own. Maybe if I did I would jave a miserable outlook as well

What's my point....my point is he likes to be injected in his corn hole...his words, not mine. He is queer and I don't like queers in the cockpit just as he doesn't like people who go the extra mile. To each his own

You dont like "queers in the cockpit" please explain what you define as a "queer". If its the fact you don't like gay guys in the cockpit you really have quite a bit to learn about life. And if that is the case I really feel bad for you, thats a pathetic way to go through life.

This thread shouldn't have even made it past it's original post. It's obvious this is an XJet chooch lambasting a SKYW driver for thinking outside of the box. So then he comes on FI and looks for his pat on the back from the other regional chooches. Enjoy your career at XJet Uncle Bunkle...you'll be there a long time with your "look how cool I am" attitude. Fortunately the Majors can weed you guys out for a while before this "shortage" falls on us.

Extra mile? That's why you sir are a lifer. A dick wad who doesn't grasp sh!t. Burn down with your regional and I pray that you have no future opportunity to further your career. No one likes koolaide remember that.

I'll gladly be a lifer where I'm at...just remember next time your getting corn holed and some dude nuts are slapping against yours....I actually fly a Boeing while you'll still be parking at the B80 gates at IAH. Get a life Jew

Those people commenting have no clue about the regional life, pay ect.

You're right, they have no idea YOU accepted job at $20,000 a year by choice and contribute to the destruction of my fat paycheck...yet you are so myopic to believe that Captain bag slinger is the problem...reality check tough guy, you're the problem too. Slinging bags is beneath me...and 1.3VXso...you are beneath me too

EMB145 huh? IAH seems like you also accepted a regional job over at express jet. That explains it..disregard company koolaid tool.

Ding ding ding....nail got hit in the head....very well put...

If there's a deficiency in ground handling resulting in late flights, then it needs to be fixed by management. Once pilots start doing other people's jobs, the situation will never get better.

I'm glad you care so much about his safety. Maybe if tools like this voyeur with the camera weren't so anti-work ethic, Express wouldn't be hoping for scraps from Skywest. "I hope he falls" Real nice. How many passengers heard that?

Well while he is flying his boeing somebody needs to remind him that since he relaxed scope he has once again ensured the survival of the regional airline he came from. Amazing how guys work at a regional then once they are the mighty skylord first officer of a boeing they are superior to most all living beings. Further proof pilots are social deviants.

yup...im sure hes a real treat to fly with. I cringe sometime that idiots like nosoupforyou gets to move on.

That's actually not true. Common misconception. Any injury that occurs during your employment would be covered as OJI.

Still doesn't account for making fun of this guy. He MAY be a tool, but based on this video, he is just enthusiastic and getting the job done. I have flown with quite a few that could learn from that video. Personal attacks reflect more on the sender than the receiver.

BFD. Wow they cover your medical bills for OJI but what about earnings? Not a chance. Even most disability for pilots is basically bending over without lube. I've been screwed over with an OJI within my job description and its a cluster. My attorney advisers that you should never do anything outside your job description because it WILL eventually bite you in the ass.

Sorry, but taking an extra step to keep your pax moving is what helps you move up in the world.

Some people go to work for $25 an hour. Some people go to work for the company. Going to work for the company doesn't mean you let them walk on you, but who do you think wins in the long run?

Company . Company pockets the bonus while they force you concessions. Ontime performance: they pocket bonuses. Don't do other people's job plain and simple.

Wrong. If you go outside of your job description and get injured doing it, the company's OJI insurer will deny the claim, and you get bupkis. This has happened to many pilots.

So does Skywest assign rampers to meet the flights? Where are they? Taking a break or somewhere else killing time goofing off? What do you think is going to happen if every time thy dont meet a flight the pilots jump off and unload the bags? You think you will ever see a ramper again? I'm sure they would love for us to do their job for them but its not gonna happen with me. I'm not lazy it's just not my job. I have enough of my own duties to preform on a trun. Now if I see a family waiting on a stroller that is sitting at the bottom of the stairs will I grab it for them? Sure if I am there and see it but I'm not getting bags or working a belt loader.

Nobody here has any idea what was going on with that flight. While I've never climbed onto belt loader like a ****ing spider monkey, I've tossed bags in the pouring rain to help passengers make their connections and fellow jumpseating PILOTS make their report time.

I don't give a damn about the company or "moving up" and I especially don't give a damn about the little bitch next door with his cell phone camera. If there's an opportunity for me to help a passenger get to a birth, wedding, or funeral on time, I'm going to take it regardless of how bad flightinfo wants to "stick it to the man".

Cheers mate! I have done the same back when I flew 121.

The guy is a total knob, and everyone who thinks this is laudable behavior is missing the entire point.

Go be Chuckles McAwwwshucks to win the crowd over and save the day in your fantasies, but understand that what he is doing can get his ass in seriously hot water. If this was me, and my CP saw this and recognized me, I'd likely be suspended and most definitely screamed at for a few minutes. It was idiotic behavior that any airline mgt worth half a damn would be appalled to witness.
